CONCERT CHOIR (aka MIXED ENSEMBLE) - Membership is by audition only. This is the principle performance group of the choral music department. Enrolled students receive one honors credit per year. Grades 10-12.
WOMEN'S ENSEMBLE (aka TREBLE ENSEMBLE) - Membership is by audition only. This performance group is open to women only. Enrolled students receive one honors credit per year. Grades 9-12. *This ensemble is available depending on student interest in any given school year.*
INTERMEDIATE CHOIR (aka GENERAL CHORUS) - Open to anyone who likes to sing and who exhibits the proper attitude. This group usually performs once per semester. Enrolled students receive 1/2 credit per semester. At the end of the school year, the opportunity to audition for Concert Choir is open to any student who has satisfactorily completed the requirements of the Intermediate Choir. Grade 9 -12.

Megan Centineo, M.A.Director of ChoirsMs. Centineo holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching Vocal Music and a Bachelors of Arts in Vocal Performance from Salisbury University. Her training began with Mrs. Brenda Atzinger - Principle with the Baltimore Opera Company and includes Broadway Dance Center, Guarari Studios and the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City. She has performed professionally as soloist and with a variety of ensembles across the Mid-Atlantic region, at Salisbury University & the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, as part of the Festival Chorus of Carnegie Hall in New York City, and as a back-up singer for Kenny Rogers. Miss Centineo has over 10 years experience in private voice instruction and vocal coaching. As an educator, she has taught general music, drama, performing arts, and guitar. She has directed and choreographed for a variety of ensembles including the James M. Bennett Concert & Intermediate Choirs and the Rock-N-Roll Revival A Cappella Ensemble; the Asbury United Methodist Chancel Choir; the Salisbury Middle School Show Choir, Concert Choir and Intermediate Choirs; the Snow Hill Middle School Glee Club and Choir; the Crisfield Academy Chorus; and The Salisbury School's Upper School Choir. She has also been musical director and/or accompanist for a number of productions including most recently "Little Shop of Horrors" for the Marva Theatre. Other productions include: "Peter Pan", "The Little Mermaid", "The Lion King", "Sweeney Todd", "Footloose", "Anything Goes" and "Annie". A local to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Miss Centineo is proud to currently be living and working in Wicomico County with the talented students at James M. Bennett High School.

Edgar IsaacsAccompanistThe JMB Choirs are extremely honored to be working with accomplished pianist Mr. Ed Isaacs, and his talented student Sungryung Kim. Mr. Isaacs is retired from Wilmington Trust Co. His musical endeavors include accompanying the choir at Faith Baptist Church in Salisbury, MD and singing with the Salisbury Chorale under the direction of Dr. William Folger at Salisbury University.
